A Course in Miracles – Cosmetic foundation Meant for Inborn Peace of mind

This innocuous book stumbled on my attention in 2005 and it’s passed through my hands several times since. I’d no inclination to peruse its contents for I’d ceased to believe in miracles. In 2005, I was cursing God for abandoning me. I was using all my energy to stave off the hell I descended into 15 years earlier by marrying a man as un-Godly as anyone could be.

In 2007, while packing some books as donations for a guide fair, my hand once more fell on “A Course in Miracles “.By this time around, I’d secured a divorce from my husband but was still working with the fallout. As I grasped the book, I became very thoughtful and calm. What was it concerning this book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced really number of years? My hand clung to the book refusing to put it down. Realizing that this is an indicator that I’d better take a closer look, I made a cup of tea and sat in my personal favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I focused on the blue hardcover and read “A Course in Miracles, a basis for inner peace.” Wow. Which was quite a bold statement but okay, I decided to bite. Having a deep breath, I pondered probably the most obvious question: What IS the inspiration for inner peace? This book instantly opened a classic wound and it’d better have the answer to healing.

“A Course in Miracles” is truly that, a course. Written in three parts, this book is to not be studied lightly and can’t be read in per week or possibly a month. There’s text, a workbook for students and an information for teachers. I’d the sudden urge to fling the book across the room because I was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood that after I began reading this book vivir en confianza, I was going to have to change and was I ready for the journey ahead?

The best movie is “The Matrix “.The key character Neo is trying to find the answer to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t know what it is. The person with the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and offers the chance for truth by giving Neo a selection between going for a blue pill or even a red pill. Take the blue pill and remain ignorant or take the red pill and find the answer to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of preference, Morpheus cautions Neo which should he select the red pill, they can never go back to the life he had been living.

“A Course in Miracles” may be the red pill. Do I read it and change everything I find out about the world and myself or do I take the blue pill and make “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?

As I choke down the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 in the workbook for students and promptly read, “Nothing I see in this room means anything “.Oh dear. Could it be too late to take the blue pill?
