Fellow Californians…yes, I am from California. I’ve been hearing more and more folks speaking about the entire “Marijuana will save you our economy”, and frankly, I possibly could not DISAGREE MORE! Call it opinion, but I call it fact. Marijuana is not going to save lots of our economy. We are in a recession, face it. It seems like some individuals available are attempting to make use of this economy to create something that’s outright ridiculous seem reasonable. If you watch the headlines, or have any kind of social life, you are aware of all negatives that are carried along with drugs, especially marijuana.
Furthermore, the majority of the problems are getting on in California. Making the drug legal cause all hell to break loose. Recently, I was watching a movie of violence at the border of California and Mexico. Would you do you know what the violence was over? Marijuana. I don’t mean to sound prejudice, but when marijuana is made legal, the amount of crime at the border will probably sky rocket. Is it well worth it? Making this drug legal so our economy can improve a bit? Heck, we are not sure if the master plan would work! Our economy is bad enough, and the last thing we truly need is really a drug war going on inside our country, or state for that matter. The reason I say country is when California does it, other states are sure to follow.
Marijuana activists declare that there have been ZERO deaths from marijuana, and then they compare it to the many deaths caused from alcohol. Sure, this might be true. California marijuana Marijuana has not caused any direct deaths, meaning no one has actually died as a result of health problem from marijuana. Nonetheless, marijuana leads people to accomplish things that they’d never do when these were inside their right state of mind. Marijuana DOES cause deaths.
So for most of you all Californians who think this idea is a great one, please sit down and deeply reconsider what you’re saying. The economy is horrible, and let’s not allow it to be worse. Obama is in now, and we can depend on him to fix things. I am certain that he too would believe the marijuana proposal is really a horrible one, and will take nothing but negatives to their state of California. Just my two cents though! Feel free to express what you think, as I’m sure there are numerous folks who are on the contrary side of the spectrum as me.Read More
